Student Testimony

The best aspect of Vermont Commons School is the personalized attention that students receive from their teachers and peers.  Being a relatively small environment, VCS faculty work hard to make sure that every student is performing at their fullest.  If a student has any concerns or comments involving academics, sports, or just needs advice, the faculty is easily approachable and willing to help. Likewise, students at VCS have strong academic and social circles.  We believe in each other, and work together tirelessly through all of our many group projects.  If a classmate is struggling, we step up to help each other.

Now that I am a senior there are the increased leadership opportunities on Encounter Weeks, with student mentoring, in Model UN, sports, etc.  Also, this year will be the time of the notorious Rube Goldberg Machine Challenge.  I am also interested in engineering, so I am definitely up for the challenge of putting together a fully functional design system with my peers.

Hobbies

My favorite hobbies are playing volleyball, scuba diving, swimming, all things science (marine biology, paleontology, zoology, etc.) and reading.
