Brief Bio

I grew up in a small town in the beautiful Finger Lakes of NY, and didn’t realize until now how much I would come to love small town communities and the outdoors. I went to a small liberal arts college, Nazareth College, in Rochester NY, where I got my first taste of “big city” and the never ending opportunities for excitement – I joined a sports club and played ping pong and soccer four days of the week, and became very competitive in gaming through Magic the Gathering. After undergrad, I pushed myself to try something challenging and completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. I enjoyed it so much that I went on to do it again (after grad school) with my fiancée! Together we have now traveled through most of the USA, bits of Canada, Central and South America, and Iceland. We currently live in Waterbury Center with our ridiculously fluffy cat, Nori.
