Best VCS moment
So many from when I taught here a few years back…One of my best moments was standing at Oakledge Park during our first Field Day. It was a gorgeous day and all the students were running around so happy. Gray won, of course, so maybe that was what made it really a great VCS moment.
So either that moment OR when I played Richard Dawson, the host from Family Feud, during morning meeting.

Interests and Hobbies
Spending time with my family, being outside, fishing, baseball, Spanish, cooking (on a grill especially), listening to music, playing music, seeing live music.
I am so excited to be back here at VCS! As some of you may know, I taught here from 2000-2003 and have really missed being a part of this amazing community ever since. I’m looking forward to a great year and meeting everyone.
A little bit about my background…I’m originally from the New York City area, where my entire extended family still lives. I attended Middlebury College as an undergrad, graduating in 1995. I fell in love with Vermont during college and promised myself that I would return to settle down here. I lived abroad in Spain and Chile after college for several years, and then taught at a boarding school in Massachusetts. In 2000, I came to Vermont to work here at VCS. My wife and I live in the South End of Burlington and we have two young kids. Miles is almost three and Ayla is six months old. Both are doing great and will love being a part of the big faculty children posse. It is very rewarding to rejoin a community like VCS that is so passionate about education, community and the environment.
