Art vs. Crime: Graffiti in Chittenden County

Students began investigating the double-edged sword of graffiti, as both artistic expression and as vandalism. They worked in collaboration with Burlington's First Response Team from the Community Justice Center to help clean up graffiti in Burlington's neighborhoods. While developing an awareness of the presence of graffiti in our local communities, they also created a school outreach video for the First Response Team to help convince taggers to channel their skills into various public art projects.
