Academic Enrichment Center
Vermont Commons School offers a variety of enrichment services based on individual student need. Explicit skilled-based instruction will be available for students needing to shore up a skill or strengthen foundation knowledge. A faculty member with professional expertise is available to work with students with learning disabilities; these regular clinical services are scheduled during study halls to facilitate student success. Supplemental classroom support focuses on developing a clear understanding of an individual’s learning style and developing the compensatory skills needed to work at his/her highest level. It’s important to note that these services are not meant to enable a student, but rather to help students understand their profile, the steps needed to achieve success, and to hold them accountable for taking those steps.
