Summer Reading List
The Language Arts Department is excited to share this year's Summer Reading List and Common Text. We have received suggestions from the entire faculty, and the titles reflect topics from across the curriculum. Once again, we've divided the Vermont Commons School Summer Reading List into three categories:
- Classics and Prize Winners
- Books that Speak to the VCS Mission Statement
- Other Books for Summer.
We are asking students to choose a book from each category, as well as the Common Text, for a total of four books to be read this summer.
Our Common Text is The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Currents of Electricity and Hope by William Kamkwamba, Bryan Mealer.
